Custom Domains for Short Links

Set up branded domains like go.yourbrand.com

Overview

Custom domains allow you to use your own branded domain for short links instead of the default 0gr.me domain. For example, instead of 0gr.me/abc123, you can use go.yourbrand.com/abc123.

Requirements: Custom domains are available on Business plans and above, or as an add-on for other plans.

Choose Your Subdomain

We recommend using a subdomain rather than your root domain. Popular choices include:

  • go.yourbrand.com - Short and memorable
  • link.yourbrand.com - Clear purpose
  • l.yourbrand.com - Ultra-short

Add Domain in EdgeURL

  1. a.Go to Dashboard → Domains
  2. b.Click "Add Domain"
  3. c.Enter ONLY the subdomain part (e.g., "go" not "go.yourbrand.com")
  4. d.Enter your root domain (e.g., "yourbrand.com")

Configure DNS Records

Add these two DNS records at your domain registrar (Cloudflare, Namecheap, GoDaddy, etc.):

DNS Propagation: DNS changes can take 5-15 minutes to propagate, and up to 48 hours in some cases. If verification fails, wait and try again.

Verify Your Domain

  1. a.Return to Dashboard → Domains
  2. b.Click "Verify" on your pending domain
  3. c.Once verified, SSL is automatically provisioned (this may take a few minutes)

Start Creating Links

Once verified, your custom domain is ready to use! When creating new links, select your custom domain from the dropdown.

Your branded links will look like:

go.yourbrand.com/your-slug

Troubleshooting

CNAME verified but TXT not found?

Make sure the TXT record name includes _edgeurl-verify. prefix before your subdomain. Some registrars automatically append your domain, so you might need to enter just_edgeurl-verify.go without the full domain.

SSL not provisioning?

SSL provisioning happens automatically after DNS verification. It may take up to 10 minutes. If it fails, try the "Verify" button again.
